Kick Fan Badges and the Fan Counter bot at footchain.tech · Effective October 25, 2026
Kick Fan Badges is a browser extension that shows the football club each Kick chatter registered with the Fan Counter chat bot, as a crest next to their name. This page explains what data the extension and the bot handle.
The browser extension
- It runs only on
kick.compages. - It reads the channel name from the page address and, once a minute, requests
https://footchain.tech/badges/<channel>.json, the public list of that channel's registered fans and their clubs. - It reads the usernames shown in the chat only inside your browser, to place the crests. It never sends usernames, chat messages, your browsing history or any information about you anywhere.
- It has no accounts, cookies, analytics or ads. The only thing it stores is which Kick badges you chose to hide, in your browser's extension storage (synced by your browser if you have sync turned on).
- Club crests load from Transfermarkt's image server (
tmssl.akamaized.net), which receives the usual details of any image request, such as your IP address.
The footchain.tech server
Like most websites, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested address and browser user agent) to keep the service running and secure. They are not used to identify or track people and are not shared.
The chat bot
- When a chatter types
!fan <club>in a channel where the bot is active, the bot stores their Kick or Twitch username and user id, the channel, the club they chose and the time they registered. - That registration is public: it appears in the channel's report page, in chat commands such as
!fansand!show, and in the extension. !unfandeletes your registration in that channel.- Streamers who connect their channel grant the bot access tokens from Kick or Twitch, which are stored only to read and answer that channel's chat.
Sharing
No data is sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties beyond what is described above.
